Welcome to A.B. McBay’s Counselor page!
Hi!!! My name is Donna Scott, M.Ed., the school counselor at McBay. This is my twenty first year as a counselor and my fifth year at McBay. I look forward to meeting all of the families at McBay. As a counselor, I am a trained and certified professional who works with all students, parents, teachers, staff and the community, in order for every student to achieve academic and social success.
What is School Counseling?
School Counseling is a developmental process in which one individual (the counselor) provides another individual or group (the student) with guidance and encouragement, as well as challenge and inspiration in creatively managing and resolving practical, personal, and relationship issues in order to help students achieve goals. School counseling services are delivered in four specific ways: Classroom Guidance, Individual Student Planning, Responsive Services, and System Support.
