Hello! My name is Eric Shamblin, and I am the Assistant Principal at R.Q. Sims Intermediate School for Mexia ISD. The 2019-20 academic year will be my first full term as an administrator. I was brought aboard in January 2019, and have loved every minute of it! My previous experience includes teaching and coaching at Marlin Middle School, and teaching/coaching math and science at Mexia Junior High School the past 6 1/2 years. Mexia is my hometown, and I am a member of the True Defender Class of 1997. I have a wife, Kristin, and three sons, Caleb, Ethan, and Derek, as well. I am a firm believer in developing the best individual achievement for each of our students. Each of our Intermediate Blackcats is part of our entire community.
