Good Afternoon Blackcats,
A main water line broke a few minutes ago and as a result the water supply to several campuses appears to be off. MISD and City Officials are working together and it is possible the water may be off through the remainder of the school day. We appreciate the efforts of city and district employees to resolve this as quickly as possible.

Blackcat family,
We have been experiencing unusually high levels of sickness in our schools, both with students and staff. Efforts have been made to combine classes, however today we had well over 20 unfilled positions. This negatively impacts student learning. In an effort to break the cycle of spreading the illness, Mexia ISD will close tomorrow, Friday, January 31, 2025.
This includes all extracurricular and athletic activities. We will resume all classes and activities on Monday, February 3, 2025.
MISD staff will conduct a comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting of all campuses and buses tomorrow.
