At last night’s Board meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the addition of two instructional days in March following Spring Break. These days will replace the two instructional days missed in January on the 27th and 28th due to inclement weather. The updated calendar is available HERE with the days highlighted in bright green.
This decision was made in collaboration with our campus principals and with the best interest of our students in mind. Please share this information with your students and all relevant stakeholders.
Questions that have been asked:
Why can't we just use our weather days or banked instructional minutes instead? Because we need the instructional days in place BEFORE STAAR testing begins.
Does this have any impact on salaries? No, since we are replacing the days that we missed.
