Good Morning,
Today, at approximately 8:00AM, the fire alarm system was activated by a student at A.B. McBay Elementary. The building was evacuated and Mexia Police and Fire Departments responded immediately. The building was checked and no fire was found. Mexia Fire Department authorized students and staff to return to the building and resume school. At no time were students or staff in danger and as always their safety is our number one priority. A big thank you goes out to Mexia first responders for prioritizing the safety of our staff, students & facilities.
