Mexia ISD is blessed with the BEST!!! Please take a moment and express your appreciation to our campus principals.

Join us at Mexia High School for our “Pink Out” pep rally on Friday, October 27th! We're gearing up to show our support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. 💖 We want to make this pep rally extra special by recognizing and honoring those who have been affected by breast cancer. If you have someone in mind you'd like to honor at the pep rally, please submit their names to me here or via email: jcollins@mexiaisd.net by Thursday, October 26th. It's a wonderful opportunity to come together as a community and celebrate those who inspire us! 💗 Let's paint the pep rally PINK and make it a day to remember! 💕 #PinkOutPepRally #BreastCancerAwareness #CommunitySupport #wekat ✨Please note that Mexia’s security and bag policies will be enforced. Everyone will have to go through the metal detectors, so come a little early.✨

Gifted & Talented Program Referrals (Due: October 13th)

This Friday, September 22, 2023 is the Battle of the River Community Pep Rally. The pep rally will begin at 1:00 pm at Blackcat Field. All parents and visitors will need to enter the stadium on the home side.

At Mexia ISD we are continually working to improve the quality of education for our students, to help do this we are engaging in a pilot program with ESC 12 and TEA known as Texas Strategic Leadership. Through this work we will be examining our district level systems, how they impact each campus, and ultimately determine what experiences our students are receiving. Better yet, what experiences we want them to receive as a result of what systems need to be strengthened, created, or removed as determined by this data and a process of strategic planning. As a parent, your input is vital to this process, and therefore we would like to invite you to complete this survey. All survey information is anonymous and will close on October 16, 2023

August Student & Staff Awards

Good Evening Blackcats,
Tonight, the Mexia ISD School Board approved a pay increase for all district employees for the 2023-2024 school year. The teacher pay increase is commensurate with years of service and ranges from $1,000-$3,200. All auxiliary employees including paraprofessionals, secretaries, bus drivers, custodians and cafeteria staff will receive a 3% increase in their hourly pay. Your efforts are definitely noticed, including all the hard work you put in behind the scenes, after hours, and on the weekends. Each of you are planting seeds in the minds of children that will produce a crop of knowledge that will be invaluable to them in life.
A HUGE thank you goes out to each of you for your service to Mexia ISD! Also, THANK YOU to the MISD Board of Trustees for recognizing your commitment to serving the students of our district!
It's a great day to be a Blackcat!!
