McBay PreK and Kindergarten summer program students enjoyed visiting Gibbs’s Memorial Library and a trip to the Mayborn museum this week. They have been working very hard in the classroom and continued their learning while having a great time.

Attention MISD Parents and Guardians, STAAR Scores for the 2023-2024 school year will be available from Texas Education Agency (TEA) to view soon! EOC STAAR results grades 9-12 will be available JUNE 7th and STAAR results for grades 3-8 will be available JUNE 14th.

MISD will be offering Grab and Go summer meals for kids at no cost for kids 18 and younger and enrolled students up to 21 with disabilities. Location: RQ Sims Intermediate Breakfast: 7a-12:30p Lunch: 11a-12:30p Dates: May 28- June 28, 2024 Mon-Thurs. Weekend meals will be provided on Thursday. *If child is not present, only Parents/Guardians of the child are permitted to pick up meals, to expedite process please have your Child(s) Cafeteria ID number present.
Attention Blackcats,
Due to potential severe weather, Mexia ISD Graduation is being moved up two (2) hours to 6:00pm. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust further if necessary.

Parents and guardians of 2024 High School Graduates.: The visitor side bleachers are 'ready to go' for general seating at graduation. However, in order to accommodate more guests, each senior will also be given TWO TICKETS for TWO GUESTS to sit in chairs on the track during the graduation ceremony on Friday, May 24, at 8:00 PM. These tickets will be handed out to graduates at Wednesday's graduation rehearsal that begins at 8AM on Blackcat Field. Guests must present the tickets at the time of entry to access the track, and these seats.

Attention 2024 Blackcat Graduates,
Graduation for the Senior Class of 2024 is scheduled for next Friday, May 24, 2024 at 8:00pm at Blackcat Stadium. All seating will be on the visitors side (like it was done before COVID). The stadium will open at 6:00pm to the public to find seats.
In the event of inclement weather on Friday, our backup plan will be to postpone graduation until Saturday morning at 9:00am at the stadium. On Saturday, if the weather does not permit us to be outdoors we will then relocate the ceremony to the gymnasium at MHS. Each senior will be given a designated number of entry tickets to be used since indoor seating is limited.
