Today, we celebrate our amazing HR department--Mrs. LaKechia Johnson and her Administrative Assistant, Ms. Erica Holmes!

As the Executive Director of Human Resources, Mrs. Johnson works behind the scenes to help our schools thrive—from recruiting and welcoming talented educators and staff to supporting benefits, employee relations, compliance, and countless day-to-day challenges. Her thoughtful problem-solving and dedication help teachers and staff feel supported, empowered, and ready to give their best to our students.

As the Administrative Assistant, Ms. Erica Holmes supports our district! From coordinating schedules and organizing important records to responding to staff inquiries, managing paperwork, communicating with employees, and solving day-to-day challenges, Ms. Holmes helps keep the Human Resources department running smoothly. Her attention to detail, dependability, and thoughtful support make a meaningful difference for teachers, staff, and the entire Mexia ISD community.

We are grateful for the care, collaboration, commitment, and professionalism these ladies bring to Mexia ISD every day. Thank you for helping build a strong, supportive workplace where our entire school community can grow and succeed!

MHS Life Skills students are participating in Sales Along 84, tomorrow and Friday, from 9 AM to 12 PM in front of the Admin building at 616 N. Red River.

Stop by and purchase some of the items created in their shop.
