MHS Cheer ranked top 20 in state…. Headed to the finals tonight

We need your input to create a quality academic calendar for the 2026-2027 school year!

These calendars were reviewed in the fall by the School Health Advisory Committee (SHAC)/District Advisory Committee (DAC).

When reviewing the calendars, make sure to scroll down to the second page for additional details.

The top four that SHAC/DAC voted on are as follows, in order from most votes to least votes:

Version 6 (5 day)

Version 2 (4 day)

Version 5 (5 day)

Version 3 (4 day)

These four options will be submitted to the Board of Trustees for information on January 26th, but will not be voted on until the February Board meeting.

Your vote matters! Please review the options and answer the survey questions carefully to reflect your opinion and ideas so we can share this with our Board.

The survey and voting closes this Sunday, 1/18/2026 at 5:00PM.

This year’s theme, “Our Future Is Public,” highlights the vital role public education plays in shaping tomorrow’s leaders. We are grateful for our board members’ dedication to strengthen Mexia ISD and support opportunities for every student, every day.
