In conjunction with Communities in Schools (Mariel Olvera, MHS Class of 2019), PNC Bank-Mexia representatives (Amber Medina, MHS Class of 2014 and Francis Marez, MHS Class of 2016) spoke to Mexia High School seniors about credit reports, loans, and account services. We appreciate the community support and enjoyed seeing our former Blackcats paying it forward to our current students.

Good Morning Blackcats!
Exciting plans are already underway for the 2024-2025 school year! Below is a list of several internal promotions; they showcase some of the talented employees we have in Mexia ISD. These personnel moves will be highly beneficial to our district.
* Mr. Marcus Wilson will transition to Principal of Mexia High School. For the remainder of this school year, Mr. John Turpin will serve as the Interim Principal.
* Mrs. Jozette Jenkins will transition to Director of Special Education
* Mrs. Chimere Conner will transition to Principal of Developmental Center
* Mrs. Belinda Cotton will transition to Principal of RQ Sims
* Mr. Eric Shamblin will transition to central office in the Business and Finance Office as our new Coordinator of Procurement, Capital Assets and Inventory Management
* Mrs. Amanda Wilson will transition to Assistant Principal of Mexia Junior High
Each of these employees will finish the 2023-2024 school year in their current roles. With the promotion of these individuals, we will need assistant principals at McBay, Sims, and the High School for 2024-2025. If you or someone you know are interested in joining this great group of leaders, applications will be available on the Mexia ISD website.
Exciting things are already happening in our district and I am looking forward to the great work these individuals add to help increase opportunities for our students!
