Late last night Mexia ISD Administration was made aware of a social media post about a song that made reference to “shooting up the high school in Mexia”. district administrators immediately contacted Mexia Police who investigated and determined this was not a credible threat. As a precaution, additional law enforcement officers will check on all MISD campuses this morning and throughout the day. Safety of students and staff will always be the district’s highest priority.
We are proud to announce the MHS graduation of Giovani Alexander Castro. This young man is an excellent example of resilience and hard work!
