Our 8th grade students absolutely crushed the Can Food Drive, so today they were rewarded with a cozy PJ Day—and it was well deserved!
To make the day even sweeter, our amazing teachers put together a Christmas Feast that was truly out of this world. 🍽️🎅🏼 From festive favorites to homemade treats, it was a holiday celebration to remember!
A huge THANK YOU to our parents for sending goodies and helping make today so special. We couldn’t do it without you! ❤️

🖤❤️ Thankful for Mexia ISD! ❤️🖤 We are overflowing with gratitude today! Mexia ISD donated an incredible 4,356 pounds of food during our annual Food Can Drive — shattering last year’s record and making a huge impact for families in our community. Our MJH Student Council teamed up with MHS to collect, organize, and serve during this district-wide effort. Their leadership, teamwork, and heart are exactly what makes being a Blackcat so special. Thank you to every student, staff member, and family who helped make this possible.

🖤🍽️ CTE Cooking Crew in Action! 🍽️🖤
Our CTE Cooking classes rolled up their sleeves and got to WORK just in time for Thanksgiving! They made banana pudding and chocolate pie completely from scratch — and let me tell you… these kids understood the assignment! 🥧
From mixing, whipping, and measuring to taste-testing (the best part 😄), they learned real kitchen skills while creating real holiday desserts.
Congratulations to our 6th grade boys for winning the Super 🏈 Bowl! Very proud of how hard they worked all season. 🏆
