Our 8th graders had a fun week filled with Junior High Slump Day and also worked on their Time Capsule Projects — writing letters to their future selves, sharing favorite memories, and capturing what life at MJH is like in 2026.

A huge thank you to Hill College for hosting our 6th graders today for an amazing campus tour and museum visit! Our students had a great time exploring, learning, and getting a glimpse into future opportunities. We appreciate the hospitality and the experience you provided for our Blackcats! ❤️🖤

6th grade parents : tomorrow is our GROWTH field trip. Students must be passing all classes and showed growth on their MAP testing is math and reading this school year. Our students will have the opportunity to tour the new Hill College history museum and explore the college campus.
Students will leave Mexia Junior High at approximately 8:30 a.m. and will return around 2:30 p.m.
A sack lunch will be provided for all students; however, students are welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer.
Please ensure your child:
*Arrives at school on time
*Dresses appropriately for walking and touring
*Follows all school expectations while representing MJH
We are excited for this educational opportunity and know our students will enjoy the experience!
