Today, some of our very own Blackcats helped educate our staff and students about dyslexia! We are so proud of these students for using their voices to spread awareness and remind us that everyone learns differently! 💙

Your Voice Matters in Mexia ISD!
Mexia ISD is looking for parents, staff, students, business partners, and community members who are interested in helping shape the future of our district through the Mexia ISD Joint Advisory.
Participants may have opportunities to serve on one or more of the following:
DAC- District Advisory Committee: Provides input on district priorities, student achievement, improvement planning, programs, and other decisions that impact teaching and learning.
SHAC- School Health Advisory Council: Provides input on student health, wellness, mental health, safety, physical activity, family engagement, and supports that help students be healthy and ready to learn.
FAC- Food Advisory Committee: Provides feedback on school meals, nutrition, menus, cafeteria experiences, and the student meal experience.
No special expertise is required. We are looking for people who care about our students and are willing to share their experiences, ideas, and perspectives.
Parent and community voices are especially important, and we would love to hear from you!

This week 6-7th grade students brought home information about our upcoming Washington, D.C. trip at Mexia Jr HS —an incredible opportunity for you and the students!
We’ll be hosting a Parent Meeting to walk through trip details, pricing, and how to reserve your student’s spot.
Parent Meeting: Wednesday, October 14th | 6:00-6:30 PM at the school
