In recognition of our future Veterans, we would like to HONOR those called to duty by sending care packages to our deployed MISD and local graduates. Serving as a small token of our appreciation and gratitude, the care packages are reflective of our mission to say THANK YOU to former students, and honor their service of selfless sacrifice. We would like to invite you to participate in Operation Care Package. We are collecting donated care package items at the DC Campus. You may drop off items Monday – Friday during school hours. Additionally, I have enclosed a list of troop favorites. Lastly, we APPRECIATE you for your willingness to give and support our troops. Sincerely, The DC Staff

Congratulations to Mrs. Schaefer and the Mexia High School DECA Chapter for being awarded DECA District V Chapter of the month in September! This recognition couldn’t be achieved without the support of our school, community, and business stakeholders. Our main focus for the month of September was our “School Supply Drive” for Teachers led by Estefani Luna and Kayleigh Young. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to this great project. Many thanks to our local Walmart for allowing us to set up at their place of business and collect school supplies. Many teachers on the Mexia High School Campus benefited from this DECA Project.

At Mexia ISD we are continually working to improve the quality of education for our students, to help do this we are engaging in a pilot program with ESC 12 and TEA known as Texas Strategic Leadership. Through this work we will be examining our district level systems, how they impact each campus, and ultimately determine what experiences our students are receiving. Better yet, what experiences we want them to receive as a result of what systems need to be strengthened, created, or removed as determined by this data and a process of strategic planning. As a parent, your input is vital to this process, and therefore we would like to invite you to complete this survey. All survey information is anonymous and will close on October 16, 2023 Use this link or QR code to access the survey: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfY3WU2So4LA8083Ay_KgedWt5WigxAHHJjL-Wb-K-XhCx5RQ/viewform
